Rota Vicentina

Rota Vicentina

The Rota Vicentina is a network of footpaths that lets your explore the south-west coast of Portugal, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved coastal areas in Europe. Connecting the Algarve and Alentejo regions, it covers a total distance of 450 km, including two main branches: the Historical Route and the Fishermen's Trail, as well as a series of circular offshoots.

The Historical Route on the Rota Vicentina, awarded the "Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe" European Certification by the European Ramblers Association, making it one of the exclusive group of the best walking destinations in Europe, is also suitable for cyclists. The Fishermen's Trail, however, is reserved solely for walkers.

Venture out along this still-unspoiled coast during your Algarve holiday and discover a living and authentic rural culture.
