There are currently eight restaurants in the Algarve with Michelin stars. With two Michelin we have the Vila Joya, on the Galé Road in Albufeira, run by Chef Dieter Koschina. Also with two Michelin stars, we have the Ocean at the Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa, in Alporchinhos, Lagoa, headed by Chef Hans Neuner. Then with one Michelin star, we have the São Gabriel with Chef Leonel Pereira, the restaurant named for and run by Chef Henrique Leis, both of which are in Almancil, as well as Bon Bon with Chef Rui Silvestre, in Carvoeiro, the Willie’s in Vilamoura, headed by Chef Willie Wurger, the Vista, in Praia da Rocha, run by Chef João Oliveira and the Gusto by Heinz Beck, with Chef Danielle Pirillo at the Hotel Conrad Algarve, in Quinta do Lago. All of these restaurants put the Algarve firmly on the map of world-class gastronomy.
