Built for the 2004 European Football Championships as part of the City Park development (Parque das Cidades), and jointly financed by the municipal councils of Faro and Loulé, this architecturally impressive structure, bold and futuristic in design, complements other facilities, permitting an all-round response as regards appropriate venues for high level sports.
