Quinta da Tôr belonged to the same family from 1500 to 2011. It was then bought by another family with strong roots and ties to the village of Tôr, in the rural interior of the municipality of Loulé, where the Quinta is located. Aware of the terrain’s qualities, the new owners revived the vineyards and built a new winery, taking upon themselves the mission to disseminate the authentic tastes and traditions of the Algarve.
When you take a guided tour of the winery, you will learn about its history and the production processes used to make the wine, whose brand image is based on its high alcohol content. The best-selling Quinta da Tôr - Syrah 17º is just one example.
Round your tour off by indulging in some wine tasting with a view over the “barrocal”, as the transitional area between coast and uplands is known. If you like, you can even enjoy a dip in the Quinta’s pool.
Quinta da Tôr also has a regular programme of events and experiences that give you the opportunity to learn more about traditional know-how.
