This is a place where you can live the sea life through water sports.  In order to do so, you need to be certified and have the proper equipment.  We therefore advise enthusiasts to go to sports outlets specialising in these activities to get fitted, hire the proper equipment, and even take lessons.

Vilamoura Marina, the Blue Flag award-winning facility for the quality of its services, is an excellent point of departure or arrival if you have your own boat, but also for those deciding to use the services provided by the aforementioned sports outlets.

Portimão Marina, right next door to Praia da Rocha, is recognised as a venue for world speedboat competitions, attracting an ever-increasing number of enthusiasts throughout the year.

Olhão’s port is open throughout the year for sea lovers.  Quatro Águas, Tavira’s seaport, is perfect for speed boating through the winding channels of the Formosa Estuary.

Another area worth exploring is the pleasure harbour in Vila Real de Santo António which offers a gateway to the calmer waters of the Guadiana River.   Follow the ocean highway and discover even greater thrills!
