Shows all year round

In the Algarve, where so many cultures meet and exist side by side, there are special festivals dedicated to various artistic expressions such as music and film.

In the summer months, the Algarve is the capital of music and performing arts, featuring groups of Portuguese and internationally renowned musicians. Also in the summer, there are many folkloric festivals.

The Christmas period is celebrated with music.  The Christmas concert, sponsored each year by the Algarve Tourist Board, is indeed one of the highlights of live music in the south of Portugal. 

The Algarve also supported the founding of the Algarve Orchestra, which gives concerts throughout the year in the region and across the country.

All year long, the Algarve offers lots of entertainment through great cultural, musical and leisure events.
