Amália Hoje

On stage the band Hoje, Sónia Tavares, Fernando Ribeiro, Paulo Praça and Nuno Gonçalves, give live performances of the songs from the album Amália Hoje.

They are accompanied by a choir which recorded the pop songs of Amália in the studio. “On stage, we do not promise black shawls or Portuguese guitars, but there will be space for a Portuguese electric guitar, Portuguese drums and ten musicians who, in some way, represent the new manner of singing pop in Portugal. On stage, we do not sing Fado. We sing pop songs which always deserve more space, more colour, and, if you permit me, more pop. On stage there will be just one thing, happiness.”
