10th Al-Mutamid Music Festival

Lafra is presenting a concert of music in arrangements that, with great musical virtuosity.

Combine melodies and sounds originating in the Jewish klezmer of the Ashkenazi (the Hebrew word for “German”) Jews and the music of the “Sephardi” (the Hebrew word for “Spanish”) Jews from the medieval Iberian Peninsula.

The aim of this festival of music is to recall the poet king Al-Mutamid, son and successor of the King of Seville Al-Muhammad Ibn Abbad (Al-Mutamid).
