Under the analogy of ‘ARIADNE’, the character in Greek/Roman mythology
famously known as the ‘Lady of the Labyrinth’ with her thread (ARIADNE’s
thread), Elizabeth Almeida’s exhibition captures and reflects on one of
the most problems of today, mental confusion The repetition of patterns
seen as a maze and an ethical dilemma, which slowly devours the individual,
are the threads of the pieces exhibited. The thread, in this case that
of ARIADNE, thus works as a metaphor, symbolising the ability to locate
every possible solution for a problem.
