Quinta dos Vales, in Estômbar, will be opening its doors to the public on 13 March to present its new permanent exhibition of bronze, stone and ceramic sculptures. The wine-producing estate will be open to visitors on that Saturday from 11h00 to 18h00.
After the success of the estate’s first “Open Door” initiative in December 2009, when roughly two thousand visitors were received, the Quinta dos Vales will now be showing some new pieces that it has produced in partnership with an Alentejo foundry, unveiling four wall sculptures and a number of other large-sized sculptures, all carved out of stone.
During the day, visitors will have the chance to taste three of this estate’s new wines (from 2009), as well as to take a tour of the wine cellar and the small zoo with deer, kangaroos, goats, sheep and horses.
All activities are free and everyone is invited to join in.
