The new Hotel da Rocha is now open to the public, with its modern design and its predominantly glass front, ensuring that the hotel can take full advantage of its proximity to the beach. It represents a 25-million-euro investment by the RR Hotels chain.

Currently sporting four stars and equipped with 158 junior suites, the fully refurbished Portimão hotel is to be found in the same spot where the Pensão Viola once stood some 103 years ago. The aim is to re-establish the flow of international tour operators and to enhance the quality of the local supply of tourist accommodation.

After the demolition of the former Hotel da Rocha in 2006, the hotel has now reappeared with an entirely new construction. It has been awarded one more star and displays an entirely new image, which is the work of the Efígie agency.
